I’ve been working on some fun themed peekers! I know that many of you find these super useful. They’re easy to put in among your pieces of text to add some interest….great if you want something to break up the page.

I’m working on a brand new bundle. I’ll let you know when these pirates are ready to get out on deck (See what I did there?) and join their shipmates (other new sets in the bundle🤪).
Just wanted to give you a little peek into what I’m doing lately. 🤩

It’s time for a cute pumpkin drawing…✍️ This has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m working on right now but when I feel wonky, I like to throw in a doodle and I thought you might like to see. That’s how I unwind: take a break from drawing…by drawing some more. I may need to rethink this whole break-taking thing but anyways, enjoy the pumpkin! 🎃

A lot of people may not know what TPT sellers are

A lot of people may not know what TPT sellers are dealing with right now.

TPT has announced new membership rules for 2027. Sellers will have to choose between a lower payout with the freedom to sell digital educational resources on other platforms, or a higher payout in exchange for keeping those resources exclusive to TPT.

TPT’s guidance says clip art can still be sold elsewhere by Exclusive sellers. I’ll continue sharing my artwork on TPT and keep my store open so that you can still download what you purchased. I’ll keep adding clipart because I wouldn’t be a very nice or fun person to be around at home if I didn’t. I love creating and I won’t stop.

But the changes matter to the teachers and customers I care about, too. Many of you have supported my store for years and built your classrooms around the resources you find there.

I hope TPT listens to sellers’ concerns and gives this community (the one it told us we were all an important part of) the time, clarity, and consideration it deserves. 💛

(I added a tiny bit of humor to this but I’m far from feeling jolly inside….with all the ai slop, and now this - it’s a LOT 😤)

Pretty much every piece of art starts with a few wonky sketches at first…some of them make me chuckle. 🤭

This little dinosaur went through a few redraws before he finally became part of my dinosaur side peekers set.

Swipe to see the messy beginning, the tweaks and then the final result. I do have some fun with the first sketches but sometimes my pencil runs away with me. 😬🥴

Comment DINO if you’d like the link to the set. 💛

One of the best things about drawing is that it gives your brain something simple to focus on for a while. No deadlines, no pressure, no need for it to become a product or even be particularly good.
So grab a pencil, pen, iPad…whatever you have, and make something just because you feel like it.
Because sometimes pointless is exactly the point. 💛

Something important that I’ve learned from creating so many clipart images over the years….drawing is only part of the job. 🤗

Before I publish a set, I’m constantly asking myself things like:
⭐️ Did I include enough variety?
⭐️ Does everything feel like it belongs together?
⭐️ Did I forget something really obvious?
⭐️ Does the Preview actually show what’s included clearly?
⭐️ Did I organize everything properly?

And then, of course, I hit publish… And immediately noticed one tiny thing that I want to change. 🤪😂

I think that’s probably the part of creating products that people don’t always see. There’s lots of checking, tweaking and second-guessing happening behind the scenes before a set ever makes it into my shop.

Anyone else do the same thing with their own work? 💕
